Francesca & Raghav // Rengstorff House Wedding

Francesca & Raghav's inspiration for their romantic, whimsical summer wedding came from their desire to highlight their Western and Indian cultural backgrounds and it be a beautiful reflection of how their relationship came together. They were drawn to the bright, colorful palette of fuchsia, teal, and gold which was artfully incorporated into their design and planning by Jessica of Blushing Joy Events. From the bride's henna and jasmine flowers in her hair to their invitation suite created by Kelly Design Co., each detail was a beautiful union of their cultures. The lush, outdoor space at the Rengstorff House was the perfect summer backdrop for Francesca & Raghav's intimate ceremony and backyard reception featuring farm tables dressed with white silk chiffon runners, gold-rimmed chargers, blush glassware, and floral centerpieces arranged by My Wedding Sense with fuchsia garden roses and peonies. A gold elephant favor holding an escort card welcomed each guest to their seat and furniture from Seventh Heaven Vintage Rentals added a whimsical touch to their seating chart and sweetheart table. Francesca & Raghav ended their wedding day celebration with cardamon spiced desserts made by Amanda of Just Bakecause and by dancing the night away to Indian and pop songs with their family and friends who joined them from near and far.

Monet Garden Wedding Inspiration // The Gardens at Heather Farm

I teamed up with Jessica of Blushing Joy Events for this styled shoot. Our inspiration for this romantic, garden wedding started with Claude Monet's "Springtime" painting. We were drawn to the romantic color palette and calm, delicate French scene of two friends enjoying the company of one another. This scene later bloomed into the idea of creating a colorful, yet tender and calm garden setting featuring a bride and groom on their wedding day.

The lush trees and rows of roses in bloom at The Gardens at Heather Farm created a beautiful springtime backdrop for our intimate ceremony and reception featuring a blue Tuscany linen, gold rimmed chargers, white dinner plates, blush goblets, and Chateau flatware. To further enhance our impressionistic garden vision, Sarah's Garden Designs beautifully adorned the table with romantic pink and peach garden roses, tulips, and peonies and contrasted them with pearly anemones and spring greenery. The florals were accented with name cards by Sojourner Calligraphy to welcome guests to their seats. Instead of a traditional white dress for the bride, we opted for a muted dusty blue, lace gown that complimented the bright, colorful elements of the day.

We concluded the day by photographing the bride and groom in warm, golden light that filtered through the natural setting and lingered throughout the evening - long enough to enjoy a delicate and sweet Parisian treat by Just Bakecause!
